Tomorrow: Retreat

I am beginning the new year by taking a retreat/pilgrimage. Please pray for me. I’ll be aboard a plane when 2014 passes into memory.

I don’t know yet if I’ll be blogging while away. We’ll see. Not taking a computer or tablet. Just my trusty iPhone. Not sure about Internet or wi-fi. But at the very least I’ll return armed with new things to share and talk about in 2015. And, I’ll be carrying a number of intentions with me, including prayers for the readers of the blog.

Thank you for making this blog a success. In 2014, Quartermaster of the Barque had approximately 175,000 page views, with visitors from 176 countries (including Vatican City), over 400 individual posts (more than one a day), dozens of articles linked by NewAdvent.org, spiritdaily.com, bigpulpit.com, ncregister.com, spirit-digest.org and others, and hundreds of comments. It’s been a lot of fun.

I’m looking forward to another year of breaking open the richness of Catholic tradition, discussing important issues, and sharing the joy of God’s goodness. May God bless you richly in this new year, and always.
