“No” to Field Trips that Yield this Equation: Liberal Academia + Sex Ed = “pin the tail on the anus”?

Why homeschool? Here’s a reason: public school field trips to the public university.

It totally makes sense to send groups of elementary school students to a university campus for a field trip, right? Parents should have nothing to worry about, true?

I mean, shouldn’t a public university — even one as notoriously permissive as the University of California at Berkeley — maintain some measure of decency so that children can be there in the open spaces without being exposed to degrading and obscene sexual content?

Apparently not, because according to this article, a group of elementary and middle school students were “exposed to a man in a giant penis costume” handing out condoms and “school-sponsored sex games” taking place under the “Sex Ed Tent” that was, er, erected, in front of Sproul Hall — “the most popular spot on campus for tour groups to stop”.

You know, sex games, like “pin the tail on the anus” and the “condom toss”, all in celebration of that joyful celebration of bacchanalia and free love known as “Condom Week”.

Celebrating the condom is like celebrating clean hypodermic needles for shooting drugs: if used properly, they may reduce physiological risk of unhealthy behavior, but simultaneously amplify psychological and spiritual harm. As temples of the Holy Spirit, our bodies are more than rides to use for pleasure cruises.

Children — and in this case, I’m including the juvenile students of UCB, and Berkeley’s staff and professors who permitted this — have better, more edifying things to learn about life than this type of garbage.
