Time to Play “‘Evil?’, or ‘Just Stupid?'”

[Cue the theme game show music]

Let’s meet our contestants. [And, remember the rules: “stupid” isn’t always sinful, but “sinful” is always stupid.]

Contestant #1 is from Salon Magazine:

And I would put the life of a mother over the life of a fetus every single time — even if I still need to acknowledge my conviction that the fetus is indeed a life. A life worth sacrificing.”

Contestant #2 is from Cosmo Magazine:

24-year-old Kristina on her abortion at Planned Parenthood, “I appreciated how normal they made everything. Goonies played in the waiting room, and Beyonce was on the stereo during surgery.” [This one gets a special prize for sullying the good name of the Goonies.]

or Contestant #3, reported in the UK-newspaper The Telegraph:

“Gossip can help social groups to reform bullies, encourages co-operation and stops ‘nice people’ being exploited, according to the study, published in the journal Psychological Science.” “Despite negative connotations, the pairing of the capacity to gossip and to ostracise undesirable individuals from groups has a strong positive effect on co-operation levels in groups.”
