…that make absolutely no sense:
Well, the headlines themselves make sense. I mean, I believe the headlines. What’s incredible to me is what has happened to our society, so that we think it normal to focus our collective attention on the outrageous gyrations of a little girl who’s been reduced to nothing but a sex object and has, in the process, been deprived of a normal life, while more than 100,000 people have died, and countless more suffer and are displaced.
What’s equally incredible is that our government continues to spend more money than can ever possibly be repaid, while millions of Americans are excused from paying any income tax. We fought a war for independence over “taxation without representation” and our country now risks imploding because of “representation without taxation”.
Put another way, this 43% figure represents the number of Americans whose votes have been PURCHASED by the Ruling Class with the tax dollars of actual taxpayers. When citizens receive from their government, but have no personal stake in limiting what government spends, we find ourselves unwittingly brought to class warfare.
BTW, what percentage of profitable corporations pay little or no income tax? If corporations are people, then they should get food stamps, not tax subsidies and cash refunds.
